A pair of bright glowing yellow eyes on a black 3 meter tall alien robot glared out at the other smaller robots that were running around in Wily’s Fortress. Normally he would have destroyed these robots without a second thought or care in the world. He couldn’t do much of that however. Wily had set restraining bolts and a number of inhibiting programs throughout his body and systems when Dr. Wily finally finished rebuilding him. His power wasn’t gone; only he couldn’t use it as he originally pleased on anyone he would’ve originally wanted to use it on. He was now loyal to Dr. Wily, even if it wasn’t by his original free will. And even if he was aware of that, it didn’t matter.
His memory circuits replayed the last events he was able to record. It was a battle between himself, and the other robot who was made to be his equal and reflection. The robot’s name, when translated to this planet’s language English, was Duo. The Evil Robot’s name when translated to the same language would be known as Oud.
“Designation…” he said slowly as his voice seemed to give off a dark echo. “… Oud.”
Some would go as far as to compare his voice to the stereotypical voice of a demon or a ghost or a spirit. It gave off that kind of dark, cold, uncomfortable feeling. Like as if it echoed from some far off place or from the bottom of a cave or a well. It was a very deep and very low bass or baritone.
He recalled that Duo and he himself were at the main climax of a battle nearby the planet that the inhabitants of Earth referred to as “Saturn.” It was just outside of said planet’s rings of asteroid belts.
They had each dealt one another a critical blow, however Duo’s seemed to have caused Oud more damage than he himself caused Duo. The two of them had then flown at high speeds towards Earth and were both burning up within the atmosphere, causing their damage to worsen. Duo’s body was mostly protected by the steady stream of Justice Energy he was still able to emit from his body. Oud, however, was not able to enjoy the same luxury with his Evil Energy. The last hit Duo had given him had overloaded a number of his systems, and even critically damaged the hardware he needed in order to have used his Evil Energy in the same protective manner Duo was using at the time. His body had mostly been destroyed after the atmospheric entry, and the two of them proceeded to continue their descent until they had impacted an island. His systems and records were shut down upon impact.
After his new master, this Earthling Human known as Dr. Albert W. Wily had reconstructed him, Oud learned that a number of Earth’s cycles around the sun had passed since his impact. These cycles were what the humans apparently called “Years”.
Oud began a basic diagnostic of his systems. It appears that Dr. Wily had programmed him with a number of new programs and hardware in addition to replacing what armor and hardware he had lost from the impact on the island. From what he could gather, Dr. Wily wished to use him for his own ambitions. He wasn’t upset that this human had reprogrammed him to be loyal to Wily. How could he if he was to believe he was now Loyal? And even if he could have had his original notion of free will to have decided whether to serve Wily or destroy him, Oud realized this partnership (or indentured servitude) could be beneficial to him as well. He had taken notice at how his power source and primary weapon, the Evil Energy, had reacted positively to Dr. Wily. Other than that, he enjoyed conflict and war. He would stay just so he could be a part of the conflict and help to spread it further.
No doubt, however, when word reaches the Intergalactic Police Force, Duo would come to this planet to face him again. Their battle had been waged for eons upon eons, before the primary species of this planet Earth called “Humans” had evolved from their predecessor species before them, or even before most of the ancient empires that once existed in this solar system were ever formed.
This human, Dr. Wily, seemed to have been focused on being the alpha male of all living beings on this planet. No doubt if this greedy man succeeded, he would wish to turn his attention to the other planets in the galaxy and continue to wage war until his empire spanned across the entire universe. All this conflict, this war, and the potential evil that could come out of all of this … it made the Evil Robot pleased just calculating all of the possible results and outcomes from this man’s ambitions.
“… Yeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssss,” he whispered, slowly clenching a fist in his larger right arm. There shall be many wars to come. After reviewing and briefly analyzing Wily’s other schemes before, he was even more pleased to see that this man seemed to enjoy trying a wide variety of different plans ranging from blackmail, deceit, using ancient and newer technology, using technology that wasn’t native to this planet and even using technology that involved manipulating the very delicate and complicated fabric of space and time… there would be no end to this.
And this was exactly the kind of universe Oud wished to live in and create himself.
